HBC Deaf Ministry

Hope Baptist Church wants the Deaf in our area to know the Good News of the Gospel.

God’s free gift of salvation is received by trusting Jesus as your personal Savior and is the only way to Heaven! Our church loves the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing and welcomes them to all of our services and church activities. All services are signed in ASL for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing. The Deaf are an integral part of the ministry here at HBC. Our growing deaf ministry is exciting and will encourage you.

Deaf Chat

Every 3rd Friday of the month we participate in a deaf chat at Panera Bread on Eisenhower Drive in Hanover, PA. We start at 6:00pm and go typically to 8pm. We enjoy this informal setting to chat and savor fellowship with others who are deaf and hard of hearing in our area. You are welcome to join us for this fun time! Separate ASL Deaf Bible studies are held every Sunday morning at 9:30am and every Wednesday evening at 7:00pm. Our desire is to carefully teach the Bible in-depth with lessons especially designed for the Deaf. It is an exciting time to learn about the Word of God. The Deaf at HBC have year round fellowship and socials: bowling, Christmas parties, special trips, Christian films for the Deaf, etc.
Fantastic Saturdays are held regularly. Deaf and deaf workers from 3 states attend these all-day events. There is fun, games, training, and encouragement for all.

Other activities

Basic and advanced ASL signing classes, visitation, assistance, and encouragement to the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing.
